1. What is the damage limiter?
Answer: The damage limiter is similar to an insurance policy. It limits the member's out of pocket expenses if one of the large toys (boat or RV) gets damaged.
2. How do the leisure services work?
Answer: The leisure services (such as hot air balloon rides and rounds of golf) are an added bonus to Toyshare members. New leisure services will continually be added, changed and improved as Toyshare continues to grow. Restrictions may apply to ToyShare leisure services.
3. How old do Members need to be to drive the equipment?
Answer: All ToyShare Members must be at least 21 years of age. Members or Guests checking out or driving ToyShare RVs must be at least 25 years of age. All ToyShare Members or Guests driving the ATV's, wave runners and snowmobiles must hold a valid drivers license. Those guests who fall under the state age requirements for a driver's license must obtain a Utah State Operator's Certificate (or Blue Card) for each type of Toy they wish to drive.
4. Does ToyShare provide any training on the equipment?
Answer: ToyShare provides an overview of equipment operation at check-out, and can refer Members to state certification courses. Members are also invited to get involved in each of Toyshare's training courses including on-the-water training for the water toys, tips on backing trailers and other helpful courses. Contact a Toyshare representative for more details on these courses and their scheduled times.
5. What is the check-out and check-in process?
Answer: ToyShare Members may pick up their toys anytime after 4:00 PM on the evening before the first day of their reservation period (a toy reserved for Saturday and Sunday may be picked up after 4:00 PM on Friday evening). We recommend a call about an hour before our members plan to arrive to verify that everything is ready to go. After our Members arrive, Toy pickup typically takes 45 minutes to an hour. A ToyShare representative will assist the Member in checking out the Toy, and in hooking the trailer up to the Member's vehicle (if necessary). Finally, the ToyShare representative will review any applicable rules and regulations, will review the condition of the Toy with the Member, and will answer any questions the Member may have regarding operation of the Toy.
Returning Toys is just as easy. The Member may return the Toy anytime before 9:00 AM on the day following the reservation period (a Toy reserved for Saturday and Sunday may be returned anytime before 9:00 AM on Monday morning). Upon arrival, a ToyShare representative will once again assist the Member with disconnecting the trailer, and will review the condition of the Toy. That's all there is to it. No storage, no maintenance, no hassles!
